1. Who we are
PortClear AI is operated by SeaPorter Operations Pty Ltd (ABN 49 695 521 914), registered in Western Australia, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to that information. For any privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@portclear.ai.

- ·Owner and operator details you provide for compliance documentation.
Usage data
- ·Pages visited and features used within the platform.

3. How we use your information
- ·To provide the service — processing your vessel and voyage data through our AI to generate pre-arrival compliance documentation.
- ·To manage your account — authentication, billing, and customer support.
- ·To improve the service — understanding how users interact with PortClear AI to improve features and fix issues.
- ·To send service communications — deadline reminders, account notifications, and important service updates.
- ·To comply with legal obligations — we may be required to retain certain records under Australian law.
4. AI processing
PortClear AI uses Anthropic's Claude AI to process your vessel and voyage data and generate compliance documentation. When you generate a pre-arrival report:
- ·Your vessel and voyage data is transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- ·We do not send personal crew member data to the AI — only vessel specifications and voyage logistics.
- ·Generated reports are stored in your account for your reference and are not shared with third parties.
5. Data storage and security
- ·Your data is stored in Supabase — a secure, SOC 2 compliant database platform. We use the Sydney (ap-southeast-2) region to keep your data in Australia.
- ·All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest.
- ·Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data — other users cannot see your vessel profiles or port calls.
- ·Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store credit card details on our servers.
6. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- ·Supabase — database and authentication provider.
- ·Anthropic — AI processing of vessel and voyage data for report generation.
- ·Stripe — payment processing for subscriptions.
- ·Resend — transactional email delivery (account confirmations, deadline reminders, notifications).
- ·Vercel — hosting and deployment of the web application.
- ·Cloudflare — DNS management and domain security.
- ·Legal authorities — if required by Australian law or court order.
7. Data retention
We retain your account data and port call records for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes. Port call records may be retained for up to 7 years for compliance purposes under Australian taxation and business record-keeping laws.

10. Changes to this policy
